THE ISSUE (32).png

Class 13 is a much-needed intervention that has the power to foster an anti-bias culture in schools in England. We see great potential in their model of partnerships to support schools to embed solutions that help them reduce bias and help all children thrive. We are proud to support Class 13 which we believe has the potential to have systemic impact in schools in the area of equality and racial justice.

Class 13 takes a holistic approach to school transformation - working with teachers, school leaders and parent teacher associations to foster an anti-bias culture in schools, enabling all children irrespective of their race and gender to thrive.

Curtis Worrell, the founder of Class 13, has seen the challenge of bias in schools, be it based on race or gender, from close quarters, and understands the impact it has on children who look and sound different. In his role as Anti-Racist Practice Lead at a local authority, he brings the experience and the vision to change this culture.

Class 13 not only provides professional development for teachers focused on anti-bias, it also brings together multiple stakeholders such as senior school leaders and parents to create a multi-faceted intervention – with the aim to improve outcomes for pupils across attainment, wellbeing and inclusion.
